Alpaca 于 2017 年左右创立，总部在美国加州圣马特奥（San Mateo）。该公司是「Brokerage-as-a-Service」领域的领先者，帮助全球合作伙伴快速集成美股交易功能，现有合作伙伴包括 Kraken、SBI Securities 和泰国金融投资应用 Dime! 等。
今年 1 月，Alpaca 以 11.5 亿美元的估值融资 1.5 亿美元，本轮融资由 Drive Capital 领投，Citadel Securities、加密货币交易平台 Kraken 和法国巴黎银行风投部门 Opera Tech Ventures 参投。作为融资的一部分，Alpaca 还获得了 4000 万美元信贷额度。
