BlockBeats 消息，5 月 30 日，Multicoin Capital 前联创 Kyle Samani 与知名研究员 DeFi Monk 对 Hyperliquid 的前景进行争论。DeFi Monk 看好 Hyperliquid，认为尽管面临监管不确定性和竞争风险，但长期潜力巨大：Hyperliquid 正在颠覆全球差价合约交易市场，该市场每日名义交易额约 1 万亿美元，即使在当前受限状态下，它依然是一门非常稳健且有吸引力的生意。如果监管问题被解决，增长空间将近乎无限，可能一夜之间成为超级大企业。Monk 认为最坏的结果是维持现状，继续稳健增长，最好的结果则是爆发式增长。
Kyle Samani 对 DeFi Monk 的乐观观点进行了强烈反驳。他认为 Hyperliquid 本质上是「没有营销团队的 Binance 2.0」，其做了成千上万个技术决策，这些决策在中心化环境下有效，但在无许可的去中心化环境中完全无法成立，目前技术路线已经落后好几步。更重要的是，「没有任何真正的美国公司会再跟他们合作了」。Hyperliquid 的中心化属性和过往决策使其在真正去中心化后难以持续，乐观预期被严重高估。
